Program times and duration may varry depending on the activity and other factors. The setting is very informal, supportive and positive. We often take breaks and refreshments are welcomed. Our building is a non-smoking building, but smoking areas are accessible during breaks.

*Parents / Guardians of Children:

Both Attend Together

TheChildren's program requires that a caregiver participate in each of the groups along with the child. The caregiver/child interaction is critical and requires dedication and commitment from the caregiver.

**Parents / Gaurdians of Adolescents:

Parents/Guardians Must Attend Family Group & Sign In

Family involvement is critical to the sucess and staying power of treatment. Family is required to attend once a week on family night unless other arrangements are made. Also, we ask that a parent or guardian accompany thier son or daughter to the office when arriving for group during the week to sign them into group. Parents/Guardians are not required to come into the office when group is dismissed in the evening. Call us if you need to discuss other arrangements.

Hope & Healing Begins Here

There is hope and healing. You can change these behaviors while still being able to release and express yourself.

Don't let denial kill you or your loved one. Get help now.

As with any treatment, deciding to get help can be one of the most difficult steps of recovery.  Often, due to the shame and addictive nature surrounding self-injury, the person may be hesitant or even deny that they have a problem.  This is when the courage of family and friends, insisting on treatment, can save their loved one's life.   Once engaged in treatment and recovery, the once hesitant person will begin to realize the relief and benefits of a self-injury free lifestyle.

What type of Treatment works best.

All treatment begins with a comprehensive assessment along with close collaboration with your physician and other providers whom you see, such as your therapist or psychiatrist.  If you do not have a therapist or psychiatrist we might refer you to one.

After an inital meeting to discuss treatment options and coordinate care, usually an hour session, a treatment plan and goals will be developed.  If you are a good candidate for one of Journeys' programs, you may be able to start the program within a day or two.  Delays in care are avoided at all costs.
